In a recent interview at the Globe Soccer Awards, Cristiano Ronaldo shared his thoughts on the Premier League, focusing particularly on his former club, Manchester United.
When asked about the ongoing issues at his old club, Ronaldo commented,
“The problem is not the coaches, it’s much more than that. If I would have been the owner of the club, I will make things clear and adjust what I think is bad there.”
Upon hearing this, the host inquired if this was part of his future plans and whether he had spoken with the Glazers, who are the current owners of Manchester United. Ronaldo responded,
“I’m still very young, I have so many plans and dreams ahead, but mark my words, I will be the owner of a big club for sure.”
The conversation then shifted to the newly appointed manager Ruben Amorim. Ronaldo praised his achievements in Portugal, saying,
“He did a fantastic job in Portugal with my Sporting, but as I said before, the Premier League is a different beast, the different league, it’s the most competitive league in the world. I knew it would be tough and the storm will continue, but the storm will finish and the sun will rise. So fingers crossed, things will be good with him, and I hope the best for Manchester United.”
Cristiano had a remarkable career at Manchester United where he netted 145 goals and made 64 assists in 346 games, winning 9 major trophies under Sir Alex Ferguson.
